Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and review complex tax engagements for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and estates.
- Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to optimize client outcomes.
- Oversee and guide staff accountants and supervisors through coaching, mentoring, and performance development.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Manage tax workflows, deadlines, and engagement budgets.
- Stay updated on tax law changes and implement necessary changes in firm processes.
- Review financial statements and support the coordination of tax-related matters with other departments.
- Support internal initiatives, process improvements, and firmwide best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or EA designation preferred, but not required.
- Proven experience in public accounting with a strong background in taxation.
- Proficiency in accounting and tax preparation software.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop staff.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
