Location: Dallas, NC

Schedule: Full-Time, On-Site

Essential Functions

  • Track, monitor, and communicate current, proposed, and new regulatory changes impacting the business.
  • Independently research regulatory information in alignment with US FDA, USDA, and Canadian and Mexican regulations.
  • Prepare timely and accurate responses to customer regulatory inquiries, including specifications, allergens, labeling, nutrition, claims, GMO, Organic, and other certifications.
  • Create and maintain up-to-date regulatory statements.
  • Review and approve finished product specifications, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and labeling for compliance.
  • Conduct regulatory assessments for new ingredients and product launches.
  • Support the Quality team in new supplier approvals.
  • Provide regulatory guidance to cross-functional teams (R&D, QA, Production, Sales & Marketing, Agriculture).
  • Train internal teams on regulatory topics and updates.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned to support business needs.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Stay current with changes in regulatory legislation and guidelines.
  • Complete all required safety and compliance training on time.
  • Adhere to company procedures, GMPs, PPE requirements, SQF standards, and product quality guidelines.
  • Support and promote the company's Food Safety culture.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related field (required).
  • 2-3 years of regulatory compliance experience within the food industry.
  • Experience with ingredient compliance, product compliance, claims, and labeling.
  • Strong knowledge of FDA food regulations.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of Canadian and Mexican regulations (preferred, not required).
  • Spanish fluency (preferred, not required).
