Production Manager

Production Manager Title: Production Manager (Construction and Manufacturing Services) Location: On-site in Woodland, CA (convenient to Sacramento and Yolo)Compensation $150K base performance-based bonus benefits Overview A privately held pre-fabricated home company is seeking a hands-on, results-driven operations leader to oversee business performance, team management, and process improvement. This leadership role manages several key service lines in home construction with responsibility for a 10 person team and numerous concurrent projects each month. Role Summary The successful candidate will take operational responsibility for high quality, rapid, construction of our homes. You'll be responsible for aligning people, building processes, and quality performance to meet growth goals and deliver on client expectations. Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage the construction quality • Oversee equipment acquisition, utilization, and maintenance • Direct multiple team leads • Use AI and workflow automation to streamline internal processes and proposal delivery • Define and track KPIs across departments and hold teams accountable to them • Drive internal communication between production crews and office teams especially with regard to inventory management • work within budget• Partner with the CEO to execute on company vision Ideal Background • 10 years of operations leadership in construction, trades, or manufacturing • Experience serving both consumer and commercial markets, balancing high-volume homeowner jobs with longer-cycle commercial engagements • Strong people management experience with a collaborative and motivational style • Proven success managing multiple revenue-generating divisions • Familiarity with prevailing wage work and estimating public/private sector jobs • Systems-minded, with fluency in KPI design, tracking, and operational accountability • Working knowledge of AI tools or automation platforms to increase speed and efficiency • Strong recruiting instincts and network-can identify and hire the right peopleWho Will Succeed in This Role • Hands-on leaders who thrive on solving problems and improving systems • Motivators who inspire teams without micromanaging • High-accountability operators who view responsiveness and client service as competitive advantages • People who enjoy building from the inside-culture, systems, and executionSomeone who knows nothing about construction is NOT a good fit for this position.
