Physician - Interventional Pain

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients experiencing acute or chronic pain.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including interventional procedures, pharmacological therapies, and non-opioid pain management strategies.

• Perform interventional pain management procedures, including:

  • Fluoroscopically and ultrasound-guided injections

  • Steroid and PRP injections

  • Nerve blocks

  • Radiofrequency ablation

  • Spinal cord stimulator trials and implants

  • Other minimally invasive pain management techniques

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care.

• Educate, supervise, and collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers.

• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.

• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical records.

• Follow applicable state and federal regulations related to controlled substances and opioid prescribing.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, continuing medical education, and practice development activities.

• Maintain regular and consistent attendance and perform other duties as assigned.

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.

• Completion of an accredited residency program in Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Neurology, or a related specialty.

• Fellowship training in Pain Medicine required.

• Board certified or board eligible in the primary specialty.

• Pain Medicine board certification or eligibility required. Board-eligible candidates must obtain board certification within one year of the start date.

• Current and unrestricted medical license in Nevada.

• Current DEA license with appropriate schedules.

• Demonstrated experience with interventional pain management techniques.

• Familiarity and proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

• Knowledge of opioid stewardship and multimodal pain management.

• Strong diagnostic, procedural, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to establish strong patient relationships and foster trust.

• Understanding of HIPAA, patient confidentiality, and healthcare safety requirements.

• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and time-management skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.

• Strong attention to detail and professional judgment.

• Ability to sit, stand, bend, balance, kneel, crouch, and perform other physical activities as occasionally required.

• Ability to lift and push/pull up to 50 pounds occasionally.

• Ability to communicate effectively through talking and hearing.

• Adequate vision, including depth perception and the ability to adjust focus throughout the workday.
