Site Director, Industrial Feed Manufacturing Lead an entire manufacturing site with the autonomy of an owner-operator. Our client has engaged us on a confidential search for a seasoned plant leader to run a feed-mill–style operation end to end. A Day in the Role Walk the yard at sunrise, review maintenance backlogs, set production targets with supervisors, confirm transportation schedules, and ensure customers are served on time. By mid-day, you’re coaching managers, aligning to safety and environmental standards, and tracking project status. You close the day by validating numbers for weekly/monthly production and financial reporting and planning the next set of improvements. What You’ll Lead Hands-on leadership of plant operations, on-site transportation activities, and customer service performance.People leadership across a diverse team of managers and hourly employees; build culture, set standards, and hold teams accountable.Creation and sustainment of preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize uptime.Planning and oversight of plant repairs, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.Compliance stewardship for all health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements and permits.Delivery of weekly and monthly production metrics and full financial reporting. What It Takes 5 years leading a manufacturing facility with full site ownership, including P&L, production, maintenance, grounds, and personnel decisions (hiring, development, discipline, and termination).At least 5–10 years reporting directly to executive leadership (e.g., CEO or VP) rather than to plant-level management.3–5 professional references from leaders you reported to while serving as a plant/general manager.Proven ability to run a plant like a business owner, balancing operational performance with financial outcomes.A stable track record: 5–10 years minimum tenure at prior companies. Multiple consecutive 1–2 year stints will not be considered unless clear role progression is demonstrated and supported by references.Bachelor’s degree preferred.
