Basic Function:
Perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse.
Job Duties
- Comply with commercial operation rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and hours-of-service) as well as with company policies and procedures.
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical defects and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
- Safely load/unload product to/from trailers with a forklift, Moffett, or Donkey.
- Secure product on trailers following company/federal guidelines.
- Collect and verify delivery instructions.
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
- Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from our retail and distribution centers.
- Document and log work/rest periods and time spent driving and retain fuel receipts.
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
- Report defects, accidents, or violations.
- Submit all associated paperwork daily/weekly on time.
- Work with other team members and customers to solve specific challenges and leverage growth opportunities.
- Maintain a positive attitude towards customers and associates by being friendly and courteous. Provide customer assistance as needed. This may include over the counter, over the phone, etc.
- At least 21 years old with a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- At least one year of recent verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clear MVR with a zero point or plus point balance
- Forklift, Moffett, or Donkey/Spider experience
