Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Execute and support daily procurement activities including forecasting, planning, order placement, and order confirmation for assigned product categories and customers.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to support customer demand while minimizing excess and obsolescence.
- Communicate regularly with suppliers to confirm orders, monitor deliveries, and resolve any shipment or quality issues.
- Collaborate with Category Managers, the Purchasing Manager, and Sales to align purchasing with customer-specific needs and category strategies.
- Analyze purchasing and inventory data to identify trends, anticipate stockouts, and recommend adjustments to buying patterns.
- Assist in evaluating supplier performance and escalating issues to the Purchasing Manager when necessary.
- Support new customer onboarding and transitions by ensuring accurate material setup, lead time validation, and supplier readiness.
- Partner with Logistics and Warehouse Operations to track transfers, deliveries, and inbound shipments.
- Maintain accurate purchasing data in the ERP system and support reporting accuracy.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- 5 years of purchasing, supply chain, or inventory management experience; experience in construction industry supply chains is a plus.
- Strong understanding of purchasing principles, order management, and supplier communication.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement modules.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across internal teams and external partners.
