Lead Maintenance Supervisor – Jackson Place Apartments (Pharr, TX | 288 Units)

Jackson Place Apartments is seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations at our 288-unit community in Pharr, TX. Who We’re Looking For:

• 2–3 years of multi-family (apartment) maintenance experience
• EPA-certified HVAC technician with strong A/C experience
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
• Strong customer service mindset with a focus on resident satisfaction
• Organized, dependable, and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Daily Maintenance Operations: Supervise, train, and support maintenance staff to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and to company standards.
• Team Leadership & Accountability: Schedule team members, delegate work orders, and ensure productivity while maintaining a positive and professional work environment.
• Work Order Management: Oversee the completion of service requests, ensuring timely responses and minimizing repeat repairs or callbacks.
• Unit Turn Coordination: Manage and participate in make-ready processes to ensure vacant units are prepared quickly and meet quality standards for new move-ins.
• Preventative Maintenance: Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs to extend the life of property assets and reduce long-term costs.
• Property Upkeep: Maintain the overall appearance and functionality of the community, including common areas, amenities, mechanical rooms, and grounds.
• Inventory & Budget Control: Track supplies, maintain appropriate inventory levels, and help control maintenance expenses while avoiding delays in service.
• Hands-On Maintenance Work: Perform repairs as needed, including HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, appliances, and light carpentry.
• Vendor Coordination: Work with outside contractors and vendors, ensuring work is completed properly, on time, and within budget.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to Fair Housing, EPA, and OSHA regulations, while maintaining a safe work environment for staff and residents.
• Emergency Response: Participate in on-call rotations and respond promptly to after-hours emergencies.
• Communication: Collaborate closely with the Property Manager and office team to ensure smooth operations and excellent resident experiences.

Requirements:

• Multi-family maintenance experience required
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience preferred
• EPA Certification (HVAC) required
• Valid driver’s license
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance
