What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinic CNA position at W.J. Mangold Memorial Hospital?
The medical assistant / clinic nurse aide is expected to present a pleasant, compassionate and professional attitude while working at W. J. Mangold Memorial Hospital/Cogdell Rural Health Clinic. He/she must possess the ability to maintain day-to-day operations and ensure adequate patient flow in the clinic. He/she will work closely with physicians, other medical personnel/office staff and will be expected to handle difficult situations with patients as they arise. He/she will be expected to be professional at all times regarding appearance, attitude and conduct. Must be willing to accept any job assignment from physicians, physician assistant, nurse practitioner and nurses.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: CPR certification and current Certified Nurse’s Aide certificate.
EXPERIENCE: Medical/clinical work experience and knowledge. Must have respect for human dignity and patient rights.
SKILLS: Must be detail oriented. Must work as a team with the entire clinic staff. Will be able to adequately perform basic nursing measures with the ability to perform vital signs, document basic complaint of patient and assist the physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner and/or nurse when needed or if requested. Must be able to use electronic medical records documenting on software of the Hospital’s choice. Must possess the ability to communicate effectively with patients and fellow staff members as well as the ability to work closely with physicians. Must meet mental and physical health sufficient to meet the demands of the position
