Job Title: Safety Manager
Location: Wichita Falls, TX - Traveling
Job Summary:
To ensure that the company maintains a healthy and safe working environment for all employees, in accordance with Yates management system expectations, operating standards, and safety management manual, statutory requirements, and client specifications.
Primary Duties:

Support the implementation of the safety strategy consistent with the Yates safety strategy
-
Align projects to the Yates Core Value vision through the deployment of operating standards, processes, procedures, and tools
-
Deliver safety results and improvement plans across all projects driven through the risk and assurance program
-
Ensure leaders are fully engaged in the achievement of the zero-harm vision through providing ongoing engagement, coaching and support to the leadership team

Safety Responsibilities and Expectations:

Responsible for refusing unsafe work and for carrying out all work in accordance with the established Yates Safety Procedures and Work Practices

Report all incidents, near hits and hazards to management
-
Required to wear and maintain personal PPE

Advise fellow employees of hazardous situations
-
Participate in workplace inspections
-
Provide suggestions to improve Safety
-
Attend prestart and Safety meetings and contribute
-
Assists with administering the site safety program as required and ensuring Trade Partner compliance with OSHA standards and Yates Site Specific Requirements and all applicable safety codes and regulations

Other related duties as needed and assigned by the Executive Management in support of the successful completion of the project.

Qualifications:
-
An undergraduate University degree or higher (preferably in Safety Management, OSH, HSSE, or a closely related field) is desirable.

Other relevant education, training or work experience may substitute for bachelors degree.

Minimum of fifteen (15) years industry experience
-
Minimum of ten (10) years safety experience
-
Minimum of two (2) years safety management experience
Requirements:

Proven track record in the delivery of safety initiatives
-
High level of reporting and analytical experience
-
Enthusiastic and able to represent Yates in internal and external events

Knowledge of OSHA standards
Physical Demands/Essential Job Functions:
