This is a great opportunity for an experienced Pharmacist to work within VytlOne network of owned/managed clinic-based, 340B pharmacies in the Bronx at Sunriver Pharmacy. The targeted pay range for this position is $30-35/ hr depending on experience.

Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY

The Coordinator for Clinic-Administered Medications serves as a liaison between pharmacy and health center personnel to coordinate product procurement, dispensing, delivery, and billing of clinic-administered medications, e.g. Cabenuva and Apretude. The Coordinator for Clinic-Administered Medications will work independently and establish strong, credible relationships with patients, clinicians, and internal pharmacy staff. Regularly exercises independent judgment and discretion in the performance of the delivery of high-quality pharmacy services and safe, effective, and appropriate medication treatment to clients’ patients.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (These duties must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation. This document in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position):

• Interpret and implement policies and procedures for effectively managing the clinic-administered delivery of medications.
• Coordinate with Corporate support team as needed.
• Serve as a point of contact between medical staff, administrative staff, patients, and pharmacy staff.
• Recommend new procedures as necessary to ensure client satisfaction and safe medication delivery.
• Respond to customer requests and provide applicable recommendations.
• Handle any patient complaints promptly and per company policy.
• Coordinate with referral sources, manage referrals, and accurately record prescription data.
• Maintain positive relationships with not only the pharmacy staff, but the clinical, management, or hospital staff as an “Ambassador” of VytlOne.
• Work in conjunction with the Regional VP Operations and VytlOne Leadership Team, staff, and VytlOne personnel to assure compliance with service expectations and achievement of performance goals and objectives.
• Discuss financial obligations with patients and address insurance issues.
• Obtain benefit information, authorizations, and ensure timely medication delivery.
• Manage the inventory of designated clinic-administered medications.
• Address patient questions or concerns related to clinic-administered medications in a timely manner.
• Prepare reports and participate in audits related to clinic-administered medications as needed.
• Act as the point of contact between medical staff, administrative staff, patients, and pharmacy.
• Participate in pharmacy orientation programs, training programs, pharmacy staff meetings, in-services, and other programs as required.
• Participate in the Performance Improvement Process.
• Exemplify excellence in customer and client communication and service standards.
• Assist in compiling necessary reports and/or audit information.
• Maintains accurate and complete patient records.

• Promptly report any allegations of impropriety to the Compliance Department.
• Comply with Maxor’s Ethical Business Conduct policy and VytlOne's Compliance Program.
• Remain free from exclusion under the OIG and SAMS Medicare/Medicaid lists.
• Complete required training, as assigned, within the established timeframes.
• Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
• Maintain regular attendance in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Qualifications

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

(With or without the aid of mechanical devices)

• Must be able to move intermittently throughout the day.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time while performing pharmacy service support duties.
• Ability to lift; store and carry supplies and equipment.
• Must be able to speak the English language in an understandable manner.
• Must possess the sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately, so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
• Must function independently, have personal integrity, have flexibility, and the ability to work effectively with other staff.
• Must be able to operate office, business, and accounting machines.
