We are looking for a results-driven Production Assistant Manager to join our Team!
Vuteq USA, Inc. is an automotive supplier for a major automotive manufacturer located in the Madison, Alabama area. The Production Assistant Manager coordinates the activities of production employees and staff including production areas and other related duties. The role also supervises 50 – 100 production workers and 2-4 staff members including leading and developing employees, coaching, and assessing work quality. The schedule is Monday – Friday, 7:00pm to 3:45am with possible overtime and occasional Saturdays depending on production and operational needs. Due to the level of impact this role, ability to be on call and travel as needed (both domestically and internationally) is required.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze monthly production reports and implement countermeasures to correct inefficiencies
- Plan, Monitor, and appraise job results
- Prepare production schedules and employee hour requirements as requested
- Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications
- Direct setup and adjustments of machines
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, 2D, 3D drawings and job orders and assign duties to Team Members
- Utilize AutoCAD program to investigate process layout
- Consult with engineering relative to modification of machines and equipment to improve production and quality of products
- Track and drive improvement to KPI's
- Manage floor production activities, monitor safety, and support
- Maintain schedule for process set up – SOP
- Ensure new model training preparation readiness
- Maintain Microsoft project files and excel spreadsheets including KPI development
- Support employees in development of EIS, daily tracking documents and contingency plans
- Supervise FMDS activities which include tool control, visual controls and 5S
- Track and evaluate problems with production parts, jigs, organization, and process
- Understand and work through the PDCA cycle
- Variance checks of physical inventory, Sales, AR
- Establish goals and targets to exceed company objectives
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate’s degree strongly preferred or equivalent experience
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in Assembly operations required, preferably automotive
- High proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Excel required
- Experience with AutoCAD strongly preferred
- Knowledge of Environmental ISO14001 preferred
- Strong KPI Management background
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally
- Ability to effectively collaborate, coordinate activities, and build productive working relationships across cross-functional teams, management, customers, suppliers, and external partners
- Detail-Oriented and Team Player
Pay: $22.85 - $27.52 per hour
