From rock concerts to live theater, sports events, and video-mapped productions, our team makes it all happen. This is your chance to learn how to run professional-grade lighting and sound, build epic sets, and even experiment with video projection mapping to create jaw-dropping visual experiences!
What You’ll Do:
* Run the Show! Operate stage lighting, soundboards, and video equipment for live events.
* Build & Design! Help construct sets, hang lights, and set up staging for theater productions and concerts.
* Master Special Effects! Work with video mapping to project mind-blowing visuals on stage, walls, and even actors.
* Tech for All Events! Support Fall and Spring Main Stage Productions, Black Box Theater performances, Soundings events, visiting artists, shows at Fireside Café, events at the Pavilion, and sports awards events and banquets at Glenbrook Gymnasium.
* Rig It Up! Climb catwalks, rig lighting, and work hands-on with high-tech equipment.
* Get Exclusive Experience! Learn to use professional theater gear like intelligent moving lights, LED walls, video switching systems, and professional audio consoles.
* Be Part of the Crew! Work alongside industry professionals and fellow students to make every event an unforgettable experience.
Qualifications:
* Must be a current student at Vermont State Colleges System.
* Able to lift 50 lbs and comfortable with heights (working on ladders, catwalks, and grids).
* Passion for theater, live events, or technology—no experience needed; we’ll train you!
* Willingness to learn, take direction, and work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
* Bonus Skills (Not Required but Awesome to Have!): Experience with video projection mapping, sound mixing, stage management, or set design/building.
