Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
- Lead all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial close processes
- Prepare and deliver accurate, timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and healthcare-specific accounting standards
- Support the CEO in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Analyze financial performance and provide insights to senior leadership
- Maintain and enhance internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Oversee audit processes, including external audits and expense reporting
- Collaborate with billing team to maximize collections
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue, cost, and cash flow
- Identify opportunities to improve margins and operational efficiency
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing accounting team
- Establish clear goals, performance expectations, and professional development plans
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Oversee financial systems, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and scalability
- Lead process improvement initiatives, including automation and integration with clinical and operational systems
- Partner with operations to enhance data integrity and reporting capabilities
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred)
- 5–10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role
- Experience in healthcare services (e.g., provider groups, post-acute care, home health, behavioral health, or managed services) strongly preferred
- Deep knowledge of GAAP
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Proven ability to manage audits and regulatory compliance in a healthcare setting
- Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and accountability
- Ability to sit comfortably for periods of 60 minutes at a time without injury
- Ability to lift 25 pounds without injury
- Ability to use hands/fingers to operate computer equipment
- Ability to tolerate moderate office noise levels/distractions
- Ability to clearly see moderately fine print on computer screens and paper with or without eye correction
