Position Overview
We are seeking a Controller to oversee company-wide accounting functions. This role will be based in our Olympia location and will manage day-to-day bookkeeping, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support leadership through stronger financial systems, forecasting tools, and operational insight. This is a senior role that carries broad oversight across all Trailer Boss locations.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage daily bookkeeping activities and maintain accurate financial records
• Oversee monthly closes, reconciliations, and company-wide financial reporting
• Monitor cash flow, assist with budgeting, and support forecasting
• Review accounts payable and receivable, payroll inputs, and vendor management
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
• Coordinate with leadership to improve financial procedures and support ongoing growth
• Assist with inventory and cost-of-goods reporting across multiple stores
Qualifications
• Strong accounting background; prior Controller or senior bookkeeping/accounting experience required
• Experience in retail, automotive, equipment, or similar industries is preferred
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Comfort working in a growing, fast-moving environment
• Proven reliability, integrity, and sound judgment - this role requires absolute trust and honesty
• Proficiency with accounting software; experience with multi-location reporting is a plus
Compensation
The anticipated salary range is $75,000 to $85,000 annually, depending on experience.
