Supplier Risk Business Analyst

Job Overview

This role supports the Procurement organization’s Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) function. The position focuses on supplier risk evaluation, compliance monitoring, and data analysis to support informed procurement decisions and ongoing supplier oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier vetting and risk reviews for suppliers under consideration for contract awards, including checks related to:
• State and federal debarment lists
• Vendor responsibility records
• Business and financial risk databases
• Tax liens, compliance violations, and regulatory findings
• Assist the SRM team in identifying suppliers not currently registered in the organization’s e-procurement system
• Monitor supplier risk profiles within the e-procurement risk management module and identify potential issues associated with active suppliers
• Prepare risk findings and escalate concerns to internal stakeholders as needed
• Support procurement-related information requests in accordance with applicable public records and disclosure requirements
• Collect and organize vendor data to support regulatory and compliance requests
• Produce recurring reports related to supplier risk and compliance status
• Maintain accurate tracking records, ensuring data quality, integrity, and consistency

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Access, along with SAP
• Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Sound judgment and analytical decision-making capabilities
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships
• Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, supplier management, or a related field
