Description

The Programmer Analyst II will be part of the team responsible for ERP, CPQ, SFC, and business application support along with designing, developing, and testing business systems, reports, interfaces, and application extensions. This department is focused on reliability, documentation, and continuous improvement. The Programmer Analyst II must be able to gather information, implement solutions, and communicate effectively. The ability to understand business data and to both report against and translate that data is critical. Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Application programming and maintenance in SQL and Oracle environments; verify database and data integrity.
  • Test systems and applications fully to determine operational reliability.
  • Maintain and implement IFS and ERP system and add-ons and assist users with daily tasks.
  • Design, develop, and support applications as assigned to accomplish goals for user requests, including VT Online, CPQ, EDI integrations, Shop Floor Control, etc.
  • Create documentation for software design, test plans and results, and create SOPs.
  • Modify and upgrade applications to maintain software functionality.
  • Follow the Agile Development process to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to revamp data models that power internal business-critical and customer-visible metrics.
  • Advocate for data-driven thinking and elevate data literacy across the company.
  • Consistently exercise independent judgement and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Translate data consumption requirements into technical specifications, including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases, and data warehouses.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Programming or related field
  • 0-3 years’ work experience in programming
  • Familiar with Microsoft Visual Studio, ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript, and Object-Oriented Programming (SQL, Visual Basic)
  • Understanding of software life cycle development
  • Strong background with Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle Databases
  • Familiar with general business and manufacturing processes
  • Microsoft Office skills, with advanced Excel capabilities
  • Accepts responsibility and is self-accountable for performance
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and possesses a strong work ethic
  • Problem solver; visionary; detail-oriented
  • Team player throughout the organization with strong interpersonal skills High level of integrity, sincerity, and honesty

Physical Requirements

Tolerance for sitting long periods of time. Possess finger dexterity to write, type, and use a calculator. Maintain adequate vision to view small print and computer terminal. Ability to speak and hear, walk throughout facilities with occasional light lifting (25 pounds), stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching with hands and arms required. Ability to travel between multiple facilities as required to perform core job duties.
