Position Overview
VST Engineering is seeking a Engineering Intern/Jr. Engineer to join our team in Oakland, CA. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals or interns interested in civil design and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate has AutoCAD proficiency, attention to detail, and a desire to grow within a collaborative engineering environment.
Key Details
- Location: Oakland, CA
- Work Schedule: On-site or hybrid (2–3 days per week in the Oakland office)
Responsibilities
- Prepare and modify engineering drawings using AutoCAD
- Assist engineers and project managers with design and drafting tasks
- Support project status updates and documentation
- Coordinate with team members to ensure design accuracy and consistency
- Follow company and client CADD standards
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of CADD or drafting experience (internship and school experience acceptable)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Interest in civil engineering, transportation, or infrastructure projects
Preferred Skills
- Experience with City of Oakland Transportation Projects
- Familiarity with Caltrans CADD standards
