Position Summary
The Equipment Services Techcleans, maintains, and services an assigned area or task within or associated with the hospital facilities performed under the direct leadership of a supervisor.
Responsibilities
Operate electric and battery-powered equipment for cleaning services and rearrangement of furniture/equipment
Wear protective clothing as required
Working effectively in a team environment
Thorough/extensive cleaning of medical equipment
Using technology to manage orders
Communicating with frontline staff
Search for equipment that is not currently in a storage area
Delivering equipment consistent with company standards
Occasionally assistin training new employees to perform assigned tasks
Years of Experience: Entry Level
Language Skills: Proficient in English both verbally and in write
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be at least 18 years old
Experience in equipment maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
Familiarity with a variety of hand and power tools
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Good communicationand interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
The ability to add and subtract numbers and make comparisons between numbers and letters
Respond appropriately to instructions, questions, or requests for information
The ability to be courteous when occasionally making contact withpatients and visitors
Physical Demands:
Work requires lifting and carrying patients/children/objects weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting and moving patients/children/objects weighing 11 to 20 pounds.
Work requires regular stooping and bending.
The job requires reaching and grasping objects below the shoulder level and frequentlyreaching and grasping objects at the shoulder level.
Work occasionally requires reaching and grasping objects above shoulder level.
Work requires continually pushing and pulling non-motorized equipment (e.g., stretcher, food cart, mop.) potentially weighing over 50 Ibs
