The Opportunity | Build the People Engine
As VP of HR, you’ll own the strategy and execution across:
- Culture & Engagement: Shape an inclusive, high‑trust environment where feedback flows, recognition is routine, and belonging is real.
- Talent Lifecycle: From brand‑forward recruiting to thoughtful onboarding, development, succession, and retention.
- Leadership Development: Equip managers and executives with tools, coaching, and clarity to lead well.
- Compensation & Benefits: Keep programs competitive, equitable, and compliant, aligned to market data and organizational values, while retaining exceptional fiscal responsibility and sustainability.
- Policy, Compliance & Risk: Maintain clean governance, fair practices, and readiness for audits and regulatory changes.
- HR Technology & Operations: Create and streamline systems, data, and workflows for reliability and scale. Leverage AI and incorporate new technologies to maximize organizational efficiency.
What You’ll Lead | Key Responsibilities
- Set the People Strategy: Translate organizational objectives into a clear HR roadmap with measurable outcomes.
- Design for Scale: Build frameworks that work across multi‑site operations: consistent, agile, and user‑friendly.
- Coach Leaders: Partner with executive and operations leaders to drive performance, accountability, and healthy teams.
- Elevate Hiring: Modernize employer brand, interview practices, and selection to attract values‑aligned talent.
- Measure What Matters: Use data to improve engagement, retention, safety, and productivity. Then, tell the story clearly.
- Steward Change: Lead communications and change management through various periods of growth and evolution.
Your Superpowers | Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5 progressive HR leadership.
- Proven success in multi‑site, growth, or integration environments.
- Command of employment law, compliance, and modern HR practices.
- Exceptional communication, systems thinking, and change leadership.
- Ability to lead in multiple environments from production to human services to childcare and others.
What Success Looks Like (First 12 Months)
- A clear people strategy with quarterly milestones and KPIs.
- A refreshed leadership development program and coaching rhythm.
- A streamlined recruiting-to-onboarding experience that reduces time‑to‑hire and boosts new‑hire engagement.
- Updated, consistent policies and job frameworks across the combined organization.
- A visible improvement in employee sentiment (e.g., pulse scores, participation, and feedback quality).
