Job Title: Lead Operator
Reports to: Plant Manager
Duties:
· Learn to Operotors cooling beds & able to manage at least 10 people . Ticket Buns and learns inventory system
Operates line to its maximum efficiency with minimal supervision, overseeing the other line employees' daily work activities and job assignments, ensuring that all finished products are manufactured according to Company quality policies and customer specifications by using the correct specified fiber blends, resins, colors, etc.
· Ensures that the production line is set up according to Company quality policies and customer specifications, making required adjustments as needed.
· Accounts for the documentation of the fiber used during his production shift.
· Continually checks fiber blends, resin/binder mixes, colors, weights, thickness, lengths, etc., to meet Company quality policies and customer specifications.
· Conducts all necessary products testing, as needed. If the product is found to be non-conforming, corrective action is taken immediately to bring product into conformity and relevant tests repeated to ensure that the product conforms to specification. All product sanctioned as non-conforming will be clearly identified immediately, and where possible quarantined, to be reviewed.
· Maintains proper general maintenance of line, spray stations, pumps, filter changes, etc., according to Company quality policies. During the production shift, the operator will clean and maintain the production line's filters and screens.
· Completes and signs the Production Report to verify that the product has been manufactured according to Company quality policies and customer specifications.
· Cleans line as required during scheduled line cleanups and on daily basis.
· Conform to all Quality/Safety requirement and procedures.
· Participate in the Continuous Quality Improvement Process.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Non-woven manufacturing experience: 1 year (Required)
· Machine operator experience: 1 year (Required)
· Good math and measuring skills, must be able to read a tape measure
· Ability to read and interpret specifications and specific customer reference document
· General knowledge of operation of the line
· General knowledge of products produced on the line
· Mechanical aptitude
· Good communication skills
· Good problem solving skills
· Must be able to work well with others, have a cooperative attitude and work effectively
· Possesses the ability to bend, stoop, and lift 50 pounds
· Must be able to walk and stand for an entire shift, 12 hours
