Position Overview
Our Albany branch is seeking a Counter/Warehouse Associate to join our close-knit team. This hybrid role is designed for someone who enjoys both customer interaction and hands-on warehouse work. You’ll spend part of your time at the counter assisting trade professionals with orders and product knowledge, and part of your time in the warehouse helping to move materials and keep operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers at the sales counter with professionalism and a service-first approach.
- Process transactions, answer phones, and handle basic order entry.
- Learn and support product knowledge to guide customers to the right solutions.
- Pick, check, and stage customer orders with accuracy.
- Assist with receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and maintaining an organized warehouse.
- Flex between counter and warehouse duties daily based on branch needs.
- Collaborate with a small, team-oriented group where everyone helps each other.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of customer service, counter sales, or warehouse experience preferred (retail, restaurant, trades, or distribution backgrounds welcome).
- Strong communication and people skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Comfortable lifting 50 lbs and working on your feet throughout the day.
- Basic computer skills; ability to learn order entry systems.
- Dependable, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous industry/product knowledge is a plus but not required, we provide thorough training.
Salary : $20 - $25
