Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters with measuring, cutting, and assembling materials using hand tools and power tools
- Support framing, trim carpentry, siding installation, and door hanging tasks with precision and care
- Prepare construction sites by setting up scaffolding, handling heavy lifting, and organizing materials
- Read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements and ensure accurate execution
- Help with concrete forming, rebar installation, and masonry work as needed on various projects
- Maintain a clean work environment by clearing debris and ensuring tools are properly stored
- Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and promote a secure work site
Experience
- Prior experience in construction or carpentry is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic construction techniques is advantageous
- Experience reading blueprints or schematics enhances your ability to contribute effectively
- Knowledge of roofing, flooring installation, tile laying, or cabinetry is a plus
