Review and analyze moderately complex Software Engineering challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Software Engineering deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Collaborate with client personnel in Software Engineering. Required Qualifications: 4 years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
PROJECT SUMMERY
Senior Software Engineer to join Enterprise Data & Platforms (EDP) in Consumer Technology (CT) to be part of the Core Banking Deposits/Transaction Processing product area. This position will be part of the scrum team focusing on API development and build highly scalable, resilient microservices/business services applications. this position will play a key role in managing/supporting all technology risk remediation/management tasks and focus on transformation activities including tech modernization, cloud migration, and test automation. Candidate will also be responsible to ensure technology solutions implemented adheres to enterprise policies and standards including documentation of items such as Security Plans, Service Level Agreements, and general system documentation.
DUTIES
- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
- Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
- Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients’ needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
- Be hands on design/development, unit testing and building high quality solutions (APIs - REST/SOAP with XML, JSON) that is simple, scalable, reliable, secure and maintainable.
- Participate in all phases of the SDLC including documentation, code reviews, research and production issue research/support.
- Ensure effective Production systems monitoring, alarming and notification response/maintenance.
- Work with the scrum team to ensure that all SDLC (including secure SDLC) release level activities are completed in a timely manner.

- Experience with Kafka and PubSub patterns (including event-driven architecture)
- Knowledge and understanding of cloud readiness/cloud design principles for Java/Spring applications
- Demonstrated ability to work in a geographically distributed team (including onshore and offshore)
- Experience or familiarity with Apigee or API Management tools.
