Job Title: Mechanical Designer – MEP / Facilities
Location: Orlando, Florida (Onsite)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Mechanical Designer with strong experience in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) / Facilities design. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for commercial and infrastructure projects such as airports, schools, and large buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for commercial and infrastructure projects
- Create detailed drawings using AutoCAD and Revit
- Support engineering teams with CAD drafting and design documentation
- Prepare layouts, plans, sections, and detailed drawings based on project requirements
- Review and update drawings based on redline markups and design changes
- Perform basic calculations and quantity take-offs for design accuracy
- Maintain project documentation and drawing files
- Ensure compliance with client standards and industry codes
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3 years of experience in Mechanical Design within MEP / Facilities projects
- Strong HVAC design background (mandatory)
- Experience with plumbing and fire protection systems
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
- Understanding of building systems (commercial/infrastructure projects)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on projects such as airports, schools, commercial buildings, or similar infrastructure
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Technical certification preferred)
Additional Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with engineering teams
- Valid driver’s license
