Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled macOS Systems Administrator to join a premier client in the Philadelphia area. This role is designed for a technical expert who thrives in a high-stakes enterprise environment, focusing on the seamless engineering, security, and lifecycle management of an Apple-centric ecosystem. As the primary steward of our macOS fleet, you will leverage the full JAMF Pro suite to architect zero-touch deployment workflows, integrate modern identity solutions via Azure AD, and ensure robust endpoint security with JAMF Protect. This is a critical position that combines hands-on technical troubleshooting with high-level systems automation to deliver a world-class user experience for our regional and distributed workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Systems Management: Architect and maintain the enterprise macOS environment, ensuring high availability and optimal performance across all Apple hardware.
- JAMF Administration: Manage the full JAMF Pro lifecycle, including the creation of configuration profiles, complex policies, automated patching, and seamless software deployment.
- Deployment & Lifecycle: Execute and refine zero-touch macOS provisioning workflows to streamline device enrollment and inventory management.
- Security & Compliance: Monitor and harden macOS endpoints using JAMF Protect, enforcing strict security controls and compliance standards across the fleet.
- Identity Integration: Oversee the integration of macOS identity services using JAMF Connect and Azure AD to provide a unified Single Sign-On (SSO) experience.
- Automation: Develop and maintain custom scripts (Bash/Python) to automate repetitive tasks and enhance system functionality.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with vendors, participate in project delivery, and manage service requests within an ITIL-based framework using ServiceNow.
Qualifications
- Enterprise Experience: Proven track record of managing and supporting macOS environments at scale within a large organization.
- JAMF Mastery: Advanced expertise in JAMF Pro; certifications (JAMF 200, 300, or 400) are highly preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with JAMF Protect, JAMF Connect, and the integration of Apple devices with Azure Active Directory.
- Scripting Skills: Proficiency in macOS-specific automation and scripting languages to drive environment efficiency.
- Security Mindset: Strong understanding of endpoint security monitoring, macOS-specific vulnerabilities, and compliance enforcement strategies.
- Communication & Soft Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical issues for non-technical stakeholders.
- Workflow Knowledge: Familiarity with ITIL methodologies, vendor management, and project-based work cycles.
