Position Summary
The Medical Day Care (MDC) Administrator is responsible for the overall leadership, operation, and regulatory compliance of the hospital-based Pediatric Medical Day Care program. This role ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality, and family-centered services for medically complex pediatric patients in accordance with facility policies, New Jersey Department of Health Pediatric Medical Day Care regulations, applicable state and federal standards, and organizational practices. #V1
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversees daily operations of the Pediatric Medical Day Care program and staff
- Ensures compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards
- Coordinates interdisciplinary services including nursing, therapy, and support services
- Oversees staffing, scheduling, orientation, education, and competency validation
- Supports quality improvement, survey readiness, and performance initiatives
- Maintains effective communication with families, physicians, leadership, and community partners
- Supports operational and financial performance of the program
- Promotes a safe, collaborative, and family-centered care environment
Schedule & Compensation
- Full Time, 40 hours per week
- Monday – Friday
- Compensation: $90,000 – $100,000 annually
- Reports to: Chief Operating Officer
Position Pre-requisites
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Valid NJ RN License
- Previous administrative or supervisory experience in a licensed healthcare setting.
- Minimum of 1 year experience within the past 5 years caring for children with special healthcare needs
- Current AHA or ARC CPR certification
- Strong leadership, regulatory, and operational management skills
Preferred
- Experience with Department of Health surveys, staffing models, and program oversight
