Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, provide menus, and answer questions about food and beverages with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted clearly.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining a high level of cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Manage cash handling, process payments accurately, and provide correct change using POS systems like OpenTable or cashiering tools.
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to support smooth restaurant operations.
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and ensuring all guests leave satisfied.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, ideally with fine dining or nightclub settings.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for efficient order processing.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and warmly.
- Ability to handle food safely, including proper food handling, sanitation practices, and understanding of food safety regulations.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts while maintaining quality service.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and managing tabs efficiently.
- Experience with culinary processes or kitchen experience is a plus for better understanding of food preparation and service flow.
