von Briesen & Roper, s.c., is seeking an experienced Associate to join our Business and Corporate team in our Madison office. The Associate will assist with transactional work including mergers, acquisitions, contracts, general business matters, and some litigation support matters. This is a great opportunity for an attorney looking to develop their practice within a collaborative and supportive environment.
The primary responsibilities for this role include:
- Supporting collections matters from pre-suit demand through post-judgement enforcement.
- Assisting in representing secured creditors in commercial litigation, bankruptcy-related matters, and collections proceedings.
- Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and correspondence.
- Conducting legal research and preparing memoranda.
- Preparing and reviewing Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) financing statements, lien searches, and related filings.
- Assisting with mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, drafting ancillary documents, and closing support.
- Drafting corporate governance documents and contracts.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will have at least three years of experience. We offer excellent opportunities for those interested in joining an established referral network for business clients and in working in partnership with a team of professionals committed to providing exceptional client service.
The ideal candidate will be highly-motivated to develop a statewide practice with travel for client meetings and client development and will exhibit strong writing, oral communication and analytical skills, and a passion for client service.
