VOA is one of the nation’s most comprehensive human services charities, offering programs for communities, individuals and families VOA is seeking an Intern to support the Strategy & Innovation Team. The person in this role should have an interest or experience in community health, innovation and stakeholder engagement. This position is full-time (up to 40 hours per week) This position extends the opportunity for a fully Remote work schedule The internship is unpaid, however, a stipend is provided Primary Responsibilities: The selected candidate will report to both the Executive Vice President - Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer and Vice President - Innovation & Impact Investing with primary duties to... Support the VOA\Humana Foundation relationship by collecting impact stories from the field and developing into compelling communication deliverables Assist with the stakeholder engagement and project management of research project: ‘Integrated Health Technology for Older Adults Aging in Place’ Research and design for new business proposals and presentations (Virtually) Attend all Team and client meetings, as needed Engage with appropriate staff at VOA National and local VOA Affiliates to collect materials Contribute creatively to proposals and presentations. This requires strong writing skills and some practice at compelling graphical layout in programs like PowerPoint Support project management functions like scheduling meetings, compiling deliverables and following up with stakeholders Professional communications with internal and external company leadership Online, industry research to identify prospects, best practices and peer comparisons Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Experience with basic data research, analysis and corresponding communications (i.e. charts, infographics, etc.) Demonstrated examples of compelling reports and presentations Project management and group leadership Strong written and verbal communications skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Qualifications: Physical Capabilities: Lifting: Requires lifting materials up to 10 lbs.
