Volunteers of America Ohio & Indiana seeks energetic, self-motivated, and dynamic Case Managers to join its expanding veterans’ impact team. Our non-profit organization is a dedicated to helping those in need rebuild their lives and reach their full potential.
The Case Manager will engage veterans, families and communities to provide suicide prevention services and promote overall well-being. A successful candidate will have demonstrated experience working directly with individuals by providing direct care through one-on-one interactions and group programming. The use of assessment tools, identification of goals, creation of service plans and follow up care are essential responsibilities of this position.
The Case Manager will be active in outreach and education efforts to meet the needs of the community. This will include initiating new partnerships and collaborations to enhance resource linkages for program participants and actively pursue opportunities to provide suicide prevention education. Outreach activities will cover a multi-county area to identify veterans and families in a wide variety of settings. The Case Manager may also be required to work evenings and weekends to meet program needs.

The Case Manager will have a bachelor’s degree in social service/behavioral science or related field and one year of transferable experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Additional experience navigating community resources with an emphasis of homelessness, unemployment, mental health, substance abuse and connection to essential service providers is preferred.
A valid OH/IN driver's license and proof of individual automobile insurance is required in addition to a driving record that is in compliance with Volunteers of America only if the employee is assigned to a transport program, participants, or any other type of activity that mandates driving.
Salary : $40,000 - $42,000
