We are currently seeking a compassionate and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) team in Cookeville, TN. This part-time night shift position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality care in a supportive, patient-centered environment focused on mental health and crisis stabilization.
Key Responsibilities
Implement all policies and procedures of the Crisis Stabilization Unit.
Supervise Psychiatric Technicians during assigned shifts to ensure proper patient care.
Provide direct support to staff and assist with daily living activities of patients when needed.
Administer and monitor medications and medical treatments ordered for each patient.
Screen calls and questions related to medication or patient care.
Educate patients and families about prescribed medications and ensure documentation of all educational sessions.
Monitor lab results in accordance with medication guidelines and treatment plans.
Support patients through individual evaluations and group activities focused on medication adherence and wellness.
Complete admission assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
Phone in or dispense prescriptions (signed by the physician) in consultation with the psychiatrist.
Participate in treatment team meetings and staffings to ensure quality care coordination.
Maintain compliance with all clinical documentation and confidentiality requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned to ensure patient safety and program success.
Qualifications
Active RN license in the State of Tennessee (required).
Experience in mental health or behavioral health settings required.
Psychiatric Nursing Certification (RN-BC) preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
Compassionate, professional, and committed to patient-centered care.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively in a crisis environment.
