Volunteer Behavioral Health is seeking a Full-Time Counselor II to join our dedicated team serving the Cleveland and Athens campuses. What You’ll Do
As a Counselor II, you’ll provide essential clinical services to a diverse outpatient population—including children, adolescents, and adults facing substance use and co-occurring mental health challenges. Your work will include:
- Individual, group, and play therapy
- Intake assessments and treatment planning
- Crisis triage and discharge coordination
- Referrals to internal and external support systems
- Collaboration with schools, courts, foster homes, and other agencies
You’ll also complete timely documentation to meet licensure and organizational standards, and contribute to a culture of excellence and accountability by meeting productivity goals.
What You Bring
- Master’s Degree in Behavioral Sciences (Social Work, Counseling, Psychology)
- Experience in community-based care preferred
- Familiarity with psychotropic medications and co-morbid conditions a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills and a heart for service
- Willingness to travel between Cleveland and Athens campuses
