Position : SLP - Speech Therapist
Location : Morristown, NJ
Shift : 8am - 4pm no Weekends
Contract : 13 weeks
Duties
- Accurately assesses patient’s appropriateness for home care, learning needs and progress toward goals.
- Collaborates with patient, family, and physician to develop the plan of care for the patient.
- Maintains safe environment for patients and co-workers. Assesses social environment and adjust or provide education as needed.
- Assess for potential clinical risks and adapt program as indicated. Follows universal infection control measures.
- Instruct in communication and safe swallow, cognitive training as indicated. Develop and instruct in therapeutic exercise program.
- Communicate with physician, nurse, and other clinical disciplines as necessary.
- Develops/implements/evaluates plan of care based on evidence-based knowledge.
Requirements
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in acute, subacute or home care setting.
- Graduate of an accredited speech and language program with a minimum of a Master’s degree.
- Current New Jersey ST License
