Role: Salesforce Product Owner
Location: ~Waltham, MA~ (Remote with quarterly travel)
Duration: 6 months
Strong Knowledge Of
Own the product requirements throughout the lifecycle through initial discovery into documentation to development, testing, & rollout.
Be a leader with the requirements gathering & elicitation process, translating complex business needs into clear, actionable user stories, use cases, process flows & acceptance Prioritize features and enhancements based on business value, risk, and operational impact.
Ensure Salesforce solutions support CIS, billing, metering, outage management, and field service processes.
Partner with gas utility business leads (Customer Operations, Field Operations, Billing, Compliance, IT) Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into clearly defined user stories and acceptance criteria Act as the primary decision-maker for scope, priorities, and trade-offs Communicate product status, release plans, and outcomes to executive and operational stakeholders Collaborate with Salesforce architects, developers, QA, and system integrators Validate delivered solutions meet gas utility business needs and regulatory standards Ability to influence without authority via professional and effective communication is a must Proactively identify scope risks, dependencies, & potential mis-alignments where one can work closely with Product Owner and Project Implementation Managers to escalate and mitigate as needed.
Collaborate with highly technical and equally talented cross-functional teams: UX, developers, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver a seamless, user-friendly/centric product experience.
Support and influence product backlog grooming, sprint planning, and ongoing Agile ceremonies.
Provide clarity & context for user stories during the development cycle partner with QA and UAT teams to validate deliverables are being met to exceed business expectations.
Leverage customer feedback and data insights to continuously iterate and improve product features.
Experience in Advanced Agile Methodologies , Specifically SAFE.
Align Technical capabilities with gas utility objectives, regulatory mandates, and customer service goals

Strong Knowledge Of
- Salesforce CRM
- Service Cloud (case management, customer service) Understanding of:
- Data model & integrations
- APIs & middleware (MuleSoft preferred)
- Workflows, flows, and automation
- Backlog management & prioritization
- Writing clear user stories with acceptance criteria
- Strong stakeholder management
- Experience with SAFe / Agile frameworks
- Ability to balance business value, technical constraints, and delivery timelines Nice-to-Have
- SQL knowledge
- Utility experience
