Job Summary:
The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, load, unload, and store products within the warehouse. This role ensures efficient flow of goods, accurate inventory handling, and compliance with safety standards. The Forklift Operator supports warehouse operations by maintaining organized storage areas and assisting with shipping and receiving activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Operation
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport materials to designated storage or production areas.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
Warehouse & Inventory
- Ensure accurate placement and retrieval of products in warehouse racks.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas.
- Follow proper labeling, stacking, and storage procedures.
Shipping & Receiving
- Support receiving activities by unloading deliveries and verifying documentation.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper packaging.
- Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to meet deadlines.
Employee Support
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding workflow and priorities.
- Assist coworkers with safe handling of materials and equipment.
- Provide feedback on process improvements to enhance efficiency and safety.
Compliance & Safety
- Adhere to OSHA, DOT, and company safety standards at all times.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Participate in safety training and emergency response drills.
- Report accidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions promptly.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift certification/license (or ability to obtain upon hire).

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks in a warehouse setting.
- Reliable transportation to support onsite work.
