Production Associate

Volt is hiring for a Production Worker position for a packaging and distribution facility in Sleepy Eye, MN.
 

As a Production Worker, you will:

• Labeling, sticker application and packaging preparation
• Handling packaging materials and finished product
• Drive forklift to move product around the production area and warehouses
• Maximizing warehouse space regarding finished product, packaging and raw materials
• Load outbound trucks accurately, safely and efficiently, signing load sheet when complete
• Unload inbound trucks and railcars accurately and efficiently, meeting all unload deadlines and delivering all BOL paperwork to the production foreman
• Operation of manual production lines
• Operation of loader to fill ingredient hoppers or transfer from hoop shed storage
• Identify and report any product quality or equipment issues to supervisor
• completing work tasks. Paying particular attention to forklift operations, seatbelt use and LOTO – lock out tag out procedures.

Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm  Overtime

The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to operate forklifts, loaders and conveyors
• Must be available to work extended hours seasonally or as needed
• Must have ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Ability to climb ladders, rail cars, stairs, and bins
• May also be required to work in confined spaces
• Must be able to work in an environment with dust and raw materials used in production of fertilizer and ice melt products

Pay: $20 /hr.
