Move forward with Volt!Volt is immediately hiring a Senior Engineer in San Diego, CA.As a Senior Engineer you will:Design and Development Support: Working with design engineering team to create and improve mechanical components or systemsManufacturing Support: Working with manufacturing teams to resolve issues on the shop floor, improve processes, and validate production methods for new designs.Quality / Design Acceptance: Ensuring design acceptance, manufacturing producibility, and validation.MRB: Dispose of parts that do not need the standardsCross-functional Collaboration: Working with design, production, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth transition from design to production.This is a full-time long term indefinite temp role, up to 15 months with potential to go temp to hire. The ideal candidate will have:GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing): Reading and applying engineering drawings accurately.Inspection Methods: Using tools like CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines), micrometers, or 3D scanning technologies. Micrometers.Manufacturing Processes: Knowledge of machining, sand and investment casting, non conventional machining sheet metal forming, welding repair, and other fabrication methods.MRB (Material Review Board): Experience reviewing and dispositioning nonconforming parts.Design Tools Preferred: Likely experience with CAD software (e.g., CATIA, NX, SolidWorks, Creo).Bachelors: Completed BS Degree in Engineering or related fieldPreferred experience: Senior Mechanical Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer, Quality Engineer of Mechanical or Product EngineerPay Rate: $45.00 - $54.00 per hour*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
