1st Shift - CNC Machinist

Volt is immediately hiring for CNC Lathe Machinist for a manufacturing company in El Cajon Ca.

As a CNC Lathe Machinist you will:

• Responsible for operating LATHES and for ensuring all work meets strict safety and quality standards
• Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Conduct quality checks using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job orders
• Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and machine parameters for each job
• Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of machines and tools
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and make adjustments to improve performance
• Maintain organized workspaces and ensure compliance with safety protocols
• Document production activities and report deviations or defects
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality standards
• Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to optimize machining processes

This is a Full-Time Temp-to-Hire Opportunity

The ideal candidate will have

• Required skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or technical certificate in machining or manufacturing
  • 3 years of experience operating CNC LATHES
  • Understanding of GD&T and precision measurement techniques
• Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and shop procedures
  • Able to walk for long periods of time, stoop, squat, climb, and work extended hours and weekends if required

Schedule: Monday to Friday 4/10 schedule

• 4am-2:30pm
• 6am-4:30pm

Pay: $20-25 per hour
