What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Basketball Referee position at Volo Sports?

Coaches/Referees serve our kids and families by providing a safe and fun experience on the field. This is a part time position, however, there are opportunities for advancement within the company.
ADSL, All Dorchester Sports Leadership, and Volo Kids will be partnering together for a Youth Recreational Basketball League in January, for children ages 8 to 13! The league is scheduled to start on Tuesday, January 13th, and run on Tuesday and Thursdays for 8 weeks. The league will run from 5:30pm-7:30pm.

Referee Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To
- Serve as direct contact with the kids and families to assure that they are having a safe and fun experience
- Referee 2 games, twice a week for 5v5 basketball league
- Know and lead court set up each week
- Provide support to volunteers if any issues arise with parents, players or venues
- Jump in as admin support if needed
- Report any player, parent, ref, coach issues to site lead
