Job Description

When you accept a position with Volo, you’ll be joining a passionate, driven group of innovators within the youth sports industry. This position will combine coaching, site supervising, office operations, and social media takeovers. Coaches serve our kids and families by providing a safe and fun experience on the field. This is a part-time position, however, there are opportunities for opportunities for continued work within the company.

Opportunities for working hours for this position are between (Monday - Friday, 3 - 6 pm, and Saturday, 11 am - 3 pm)

Lead Coach Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To

• Serve as direct contact with the kids and families to assure that they are having a safe and fun experience
• Runs practice for groups as small as 10 kids and groups as large as 30 kids.
• Plan practice based on the dance style dictated for the week in the program curriculum
• Understand & lead both kids and other coaches in a FUN and engaging way
• Consistently move on from one skill to the next as to keep the dancers engaged, and identify places where volunteers can fill in to prevent downtime
• Lead pre-class and post-class huddles that emphasize the Dancer of the Week lesson and character focus
• Know and lead classroom setup and clean up each week
• Provide guidance to volunteers if there are questions about drills/ roles
• Provide support to volunteers if any issues arise with parents, players or venues
• Jump in as admin support if needed
• Report any player, parent, ref, coach issues to site lead
  
  

Must-Haves

• 1 year of coaching or teaching
• Ability to teach multiple dance styles
• Attend mandatory staff training
• After School Availability (Monday - Friday, 3 - 6 pm, and Saturday, 11 am - 3 pm)
