ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The controller is responsible for and leads all aspects of the finance organization at the site. This position acts as a strategic business partner supporting all operational elements of the business. This role is responsible for the development and ownership of monthly and annual financial plans, implementing and upholding financial policies and procedures to ensure a proper control environment and compliance with US GAAP, cost accounting oversight and management, financial reporting and analysis, driving process improvements and efficiencies, and cash management. Key responsibilities include:
  • Oversee all accounting processes and financial controls.
  • Prepare and monitor budgets and financial reports, including variance analysis.
  • Oversee working capital, including inventory, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Analyze labor and materials costs in support of bids and departmental budgets.
  • Communicate results to senior leadership to ensure timely and effective decision making.
  • Responsible for balance sheet integrity – ensure reconciliations and complete and accurate.
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions, project management meetings and bid reviews.


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related field and five to ten years’ broad based corporate experience as a finance professional, including supervisory experience; a Master’s degree and/or CPA designation highly desirable.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of accounting practices and principals, including cost accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and bid preparation best practices.
  • Experienced working with a fast-paced manufacturing environment with ERP exposure.
  • Capable of evaluating talent and building organizational capability. Strong mentoring and coaching skills.
  • Effectively drives and manages change, challenges the status quo and champions new and innovative ideas.
  • Effectively leverages functional and cross-functional resources to solve problems, improve processes and meet objectives.
  • Excellent computer skills utilizing excel spreadsheet, word processing, database and presentation software.
  • Experience and working knowledge of ERP / MRP software platforms.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management in the organization.
  • The selected candidate must be a U. S. Person.


ADA REQUIREMENTS:

The key physical requirements for this position include the ability to use standard office equipment including PC’s, fax, and copy machine, movement within a standard office and distribution warehouse area, walking, sitting, standing, climbing, carrying, pushing/pulling and lifting 1–30 pounds occasionally.
