Assistant Project Manager (APM) – Construction / Restoration
Location: West Bloomfield, MI
Position Overview
Ou Client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support a large, complex restoration and construction project. This role is critical to maintaining structure, documentation, and communication across multiple trades, stakeholders, and project leaders.
The APM will serve as the central point for project documentation, coordination, and tracking using Procore, ensuring that all project information is accurate, current, and accessible.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain all project documentation within Procore
- Track and organize submittals, RFIs, drawings, and project correspondence
- Maintain daily logs, photo documentation, and project records
- Coordinate communication between project managers, subcontractors, and stakeholders
- Assist in tracking project schedule updates and key milestones
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding items to ensure timely resolution
- Support permit and inspection tracking and documentation
- Ensure all records are complete, organized, and audit-ready at all times
Qualifications
- Proficient with Procore (required)
- 2–5 years of experience in construction project coordination or assistant project management
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- High attention to detail and follow-through
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
