Position Overview
The Licensed Nursing Home Administrator provides overall leadership and direction for daily facility operations. This role is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, strong financial performance, exceptional resident care, and a supportive workplace culture. The ideal candidate is a confident and strategic leader with strong communication skills and a commitment to outstanding outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Direct all aspects of facility operations, including admissions, marketing, financial performance, and strategic initiatives
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
Lead, coach, and support department leaders and staff to foster collaboration and accountability
Uphold high standards of resident care, quality assurance, and overall satisfaction
Oversee budgeting, expense management, and revenue optimization
Ensure the facility is safe, well-maintained, and welcoming
Act as a positive liaison to residents, families, regulatory agencies, and community partners
Qualifications
Active Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) license in the state
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
Strong understanding of healthcare operations, leadership, and team management
Proficiency with computers and healthcare systems
Willingness to travel occasionally, including overnight stays
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to pass background screening, drug testing, and reference checks
Experience Requirements
Completion of an Administrator-in-Training (AIT) program or prior experience as an Administrator or Assistant Administrator
At least one year of leadership experience in a relevant setting
