The firm is seeking an Investment Specialist / Investment Operations Associate to support investment operations, client service, and Advisor collaboration, while also contributing to investment analysis and case preparation. Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Investment Operations professional located in The Woodlands, TX. The primary responsibilities include managing day-to-day investment operations, analyzing financial data, developing and implementing investment strategies, and supporting the broader investment management process. The role will require collaboration with internal teams to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with the company’s integrated planning philosophy.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end preparation and execution of investment account documentation, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all onboarding and maintenance activities
- Prepare and process all investment account paperwork and maintain client records, performance reports, and required documentation in alignment with firm and regulatory standards
- Coordinate and curate materials for quarterly and annual client reviews, partnering closely with Advisors
- Develop customized investment proposals and Investment Policy Statements tailored to client goals and long-term strategies
- Collaborate with Advisors on asset allocation, portfolio construction, and financial planning initiatives
- Contribute to investment analysis, including portfolio reviews, allocation insights, and supporting research efforts
- Support case preparation alongside Advisors and planning team to develop client recommendations and strategies
- Execute trades across client portfolios with precision and alignment to investment models
- Serve as a key liaison with custodians, back-office teams, and internal stakeholders to address operational requests and streamline workflows
- Administer and evaluate client risk tolerance assessments and incorporate findings into portfolio recommendations
- Ensure compliance requirements are consistently met and upheld across all processes
- Deliver a high-touch, relationship-driven client experience and serve as a trusted point of contact
- Communicate directly with clients and prospects to facilitate account setup, documentation completion, and follow-up requests
- Balance analytical responsibilities with operational execution and client service tasks
- Support onboarding, training, and development of new team members, with potential for future leadership responsibilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
- Preferred licenses: SIE, Series 7, Series 63, & Life & Health Insurance
- 3–7 years of experience in financial services, investment operations, or investment management
- CFA candidate preferred, or interest in pursuing
- Strong knowledge of investment strategies, portfolio construction, and financial principles
- Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and support decision-making
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and client service abilities
- Highly organized with strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Interest or experience in mentoring and developing others
