MECHANICAL ENGINEERING INTERNSHIP SUMMER 2026

Summary: This internship opportunity is in our Engineering department. Interns will gain hands-on experience in mechanical and machine design.This position assists a lead engineer in production and machine design including CAD work.

Responsibilities:

• Mechanical design and analysis of new and existing hydro turbine or hydro generator products.
• Prepare designs or modifications of full range of products.
• Investigate new concepts for practicality, economy, and operating efficiency.
• Operate CAD/CAE equipment to complete work assignments & create 3D solid models of components and assemblies.
• Assist Drafters with the use of 3D solid models
  
  

Required Skills:

• Enrolled in an accredited engineering program or CAD technology program.
• Demonstrated ability to work well with others to obtain effective results.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
