What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Engineer position at Vogrinc Search Group?
We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Engineer to support our engineering and manufacturing teams. In this role, you’ll create and maintain accurate technical drawings and 3D models while contributing to product development, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts. You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, production, quality, and sales to ensure designs are clear, manufacturable, and aligned with customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and revise 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD (SolidWorks preferred)
- Create and maintain bills of materials (BOMs), routings, and part numbers
- Support custom designs and customer-specific orders
- Generate and implement Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and support ECRs
- Collaborate with manufacturing to improve processes and ensure design for manufacturability
- Provide technical support across teams, including troubleshooting and documentation
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Mechanical Design, Engineering Technology, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred)
- 2–5 years of experience in mechanical design or drafting is preferred
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (or similar CAD software)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
- Familiarity with basic inspection tools and manufacturing processes
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems is a plus
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary: $70,000–$90,000
- Quarterly bonus eligibility
