We are seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join the senior leadership team of a 200 employee manufacturing operation in the greater Tallapoosa, GA area. This role is both strategic and hands-on, and will be working closely with executives, plant leadership, and employees to support business growth, operational effectiveness, and a safe, engaging workplace.
What You’ll Do
Employee Relations & Culture
- Provide guidance on leadership development, performance management, compliance, staffing, compensation, and organizational development.
- Elevate communication, drive succession planning, and strengthen community and cultural engagement.
- Partner with HR and functional leaders across sister companies to align processes and share best practices.
Talent Acquisition & Development
- Deliver outstanding support in workforce planning, hiring, and onboarding.
- Enhance onboarding programs to ensure smooth integration into company culture.
- Lead annual talent reviews, succession planning, and employee development programs.
Leadership & Operational Support
- Advise leaders and team members at all levels to improve performance and build leadership capability.
- Participate in weekly leadership meetings, monthly business reviews, and annual strategic planning.
Employee Support & Safety
- Serve as a trusted resource for employees on workplace and personal matters.
- Regularly collaborate with plant leadership on safety initiatives and continuous improvement.
- Help implement proactive safety metrics and practices.
Compliance & HR Operations
- Oversee employee records and ensure compliance across unemployment, workers’ compensation, EEO, OSHA, ADA, and FMLA.
- Create, maintain, and enforce HR policies and procedures.
Benefits & Wellness
- Lead administration of benefits, wellness programs, and annual budgeting.
- Work with providers to optimize employee participation and cost-effective solutions.
Organizational Development & Reporting
- Drive organizational planning and development initiatives.
- Develop weekly/monthly HR reporting with leadership.
- Support employee communication and company-wide messaging, including town halls.
- Track KPIs, productivity, and HR service quality; implement improvements.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field (PHR/SPHR preferred).
- 10 years of HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Hands-on experience across employee relations, performance management, compliance, staffing, compensation, and benefits.
- Self-directed, organized, and able to thrive in a high-velocity environment.
- Excellent communication skills—capable of mentoring, motivating, and aligning teams.
- Commitment to organizational change, diversity, and continuous improvement.
- Proven leadership in driving accountability, leveraging team strengths, and supporting business-critical objectives.
