What You'll Do
Payroll Administration
- Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time.
- Review timesheets, attendance records, and payroll data for accuracy.
- Enter payroll-related changes, including new hires, terminations, pay adjustments, and benefit deductions.
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
- Coordinate and conduct new hire orientation sessions.
- Prepare onboarding materials and new employee packets.
- Ensure completion of all required employment documentation, including I-9s, W-4s, direct deposit forms, and policy acknowledgments.
- Facilitate background checks and employment verification processes.
- Coordinate onboarding setup activities with supervisors and department managers.
- Coordinate and facilitate the employee offboarding process, including separation paperwork and final pay processing.
- Conduct or assist with exit interviews and compile feedback for HR leadership.
- Coordinate return of company equipment and access revocation with relevant departments.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of termination documentation in Paycor.
- Communicate benefits continuation information (COBRA, etc.) to separating employees.
- Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Director.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files in Paycor.
- Assist with employee benefits enrollment and changes.
- Prepare HR-related reports, correspondence, and documentation.
- Assist with employee engagement activities and special HR projects.
- Maintain HR databases and ensure data accuracy.
- Answer employee questions regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Ensure employee records comply with federal, state, and organizational requirements.
- Assist with audits and reporting requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee information and HR records.
- Support compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Education: You hold an Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience: You have a minimum of 2 years of administrative or human resources experience, with hands-on payroll processing experience required.
- Knowledgeable: You have a working understanding of HR practices, employment laws, and payroll procedures.
- Tech-Savvy: You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfortable working in HRIS and payroll systems; Paycor experience is a plus.
- Organized & Detail-Oriented: You are a skilled multitasker with strong time management abilities and a sharp eye for accuracy.
- Discreet: You handle sensitive and confidential employee information with the utmost professionalism.
- A Communicator: You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and a genuine commitment to customer service.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
