Clinical informatics is the multidisciplinary scientific endeavor of analyzing, formalizing and modeling how nurses collect and manage data, process data into information and knowledge, make knowledge-based decisions and inferences for patient care, and use this empirical and experiential knowledge in order to broaden the scope and enhance the quality of their professional practice.
Responsibilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree, nursing or other healthcare-related field and / or three years of direct patient care experience combined
- Clinical knowledge, including Oasis and Coding Certification
- Advanced experience and/or education in computer applications.
- Knowledge of Homecare Homebase software a plus.
- Two years clinical nursing or other healthcare professional experience.
- Current home health and/or hospice experience, including knowledge of PPS, State, Federal, and JCAHO regulations.
- Proven experience with IT applications and teaching.
- Extensive knowledge of home health and/or hospice care operations.
- Ability to perform complex, detailed design and analytical tasks.
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills as well as professional appearance.
